For my Publishing class, I get my students in the mood for writing by doing a daily journal prompt. So far, I’ve borrowed a lot of these ideas from Pinterest, but my students really enjoy seeing what the question and illustration will be for the day. I try to set aside some time to doodle (which ends up calming me as well) each day to make the writing prompt fun and colorful. Here are some of them so far! It ends up being a great use of my whiteboard and starts the class off with reflection…
