ANTIQUE MAPS OF PARTS OF LONDON AT ASH RARE BOOKS
. A neatly-worked and attractive street-plan on a scale of just under two inches to the mile. Centred on the Surrey Commercial Docks and the Isle of Dogs, the map extends northwards to the Bethnal Green Museum and Bow Bridge; east to Blackwall Station and the East India Dock; south to New Cross Station, Deptford Bridge and the Greenwich Observatory, and west to Wapping and Rotherhithe Stations. Originally produced for the 1899 edition of Bartholomew’s “Pocket Atlas and Guide to London”.
