Farah Pahlavi; born Farah Diba, 14 October 1938 is the former Queen and Empress of Iran. She is the widow of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Shah of Iran, and the only person to hold the title of Empress (Shahbanou) since pre-Islamic Iran. She was Queen consort of Iran from 1959 until 1967 and Empress consort from 1967 until exile in 1979.

Yasmine Etemad-Amini was born in Pars Hospital in Tehran, Iran, on July 26, 1968. She attended the private Tehran Community School in Tehran until the rising tensions during the Iranian Revolution in the late 1970s forced her family to leave Iran permanently.
