The Packard Bell Legend 855 is Working - Sort Of!! The Packard Bell Legend 855 is now up and running, for the most part. I still need to get some type of CMOS battery install on the motherboard. I’ve removed the somewhat leaky CMOS battery that was soldered onto the motherboard, luckily none of the electrolyte made its way onto the actual motherboard itself. I’m actively searching eBay for some type of replacement, any suggestions you may have on this matter, will be much appreciated.

Testing The Packard Bell Legend 855 From 1993 - Please Help? I’m having issues with my new Packard Bell Legend 855. It seems that the keyboard lock is engaged and will not let me input any keyboard commands. The bios says that the keyboard is locked, but the physical lock on the front of the computer is in the unlock position. Can anyone let me know how I might go about fixing this problem? May there is a work around if indeed the lock tumbler or the switch is bad. FYI, I do not have the key

Testing The APEX-IPX Computer From The Garage Sale. This system is way better than I though. Core 2 Quad Q9400 with 4GB of Ram and a 1TB hard drive. With that kind of hardware, I am shocked that it doesn't run hot. On top of all that, it had a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium.
