1 unsliced loaf sourdough bread 12-16 ounces Monterey Jack cheese, thinly sliced 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/2 cup finely diced green onion Instructions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Insert cheese slices between cuts. Combine butter, onion Drizzle over bread. Swig Sugar Cookies (with 4 variations)
As you probably know, Swig Cookies are all the rage in Utah. They are so stinkin’ good and I find myself craving them on a regular basis. Our sister, Elise, was doing a fundraiser here in Idaho and made these Swig Cookies in a bunch of different varieties, mixing and matching cookie recipes and frosting recipes. Needless to say, they were the first cookies at the fundraiser to go (by a landslide).
