Marine Cpl. Nathaniel K. Moore Died January 26, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 22, of Champaign, Ill.; assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Hawaii; killed Jan. 26 when the CH-53E helicopter in which he was riding crashed near Rutbah, Iraq.
Army Pfc. Gavin J. Colburn Died April 22, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 20, of Frankfort, Ohio; assigned to the 542nd Transportation Company, Army Reserve, Kingsbury, Ind.; killed April 22 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his convoy vehicle as he was traveling along a supply route in Iraq.
Army Capt. Torre R. Mallard Died March 10, 2008 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 27, of Lawton, Oklahoma; assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas; died March 10 in Balad Ruz, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device.
Army Pfc. Paul Balint Jr. Died December 15, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 22, of Willow Park, Texas; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany; died Dec. 15 of injuries sustained when his unit came in contact with the enemy using small arms fire during combat operations in Ramadi, Iraq.
Army 1st Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski Died November 19, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 23, of Freehold, N.J.; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, Fort Campbell, Ky.; killed Nov. 19 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Bayji, Iraq.
Army Spc. Justin R. Blackwell Died August 5, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 27, of Paris, Tenn.; assigned to the 59th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Carson, Colo.; died Aug. 5 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from enemy indirect fire.
Rest easy! Army Lt. Col. Jaimie E. Leonard Died June 8, 2013 Serving During Operation Enduring Freedom 39, of Warrick, N.Y.; assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y.; died June 8 in Sharana, Afghanistan, of injuries caused by small-arms fire received at Zarghun Shahr, Afghanistan.

Block Died August 16, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 20, of Vidor, Texas; assigned to the 401st Military Police Company, 720th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas; died Aug. 16 in Baghdad of injuries sustained from a non-combat-related incident.

Died in Shah Wali Kot District, Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, when the helicopter he was in crashed while engaged in a firefight.
