Because let's face it, if 2020 has taught us anything it is that we have control over very little in our lives. But you know what we absolutely have control over? Creating happiness and gratitude and pockets of joy in our life.
Be like the buffalo
When a storm is coming, most of the animal kingdom (including humans) instinctually run away from it. But the storm often catches up with them anyway. Without knowing any better, animals continue to try to outrun it, which ends up maximising the amount of time they spend in the storm and exhausts them in the process 😓 The buffalo however, is unique in its approach.
Self care can be ugly
Sometimes, self care and working on your mental health can be ugly. Crying as you let go of a toxic relationship that no longer benefits you. Getting up and sweating through a workout that you know will help you feel better. Saying no to people when it hurts not being a people pleaser.
