The Brighter Rewriter
Halloween Inference Activity
Are your 2nd-4th graders convinced of their right answers without using all available text evidence? This game uses 3 clues to prompt students to make inferences about a Halloween word or character. During the game, the teacher reads the clues aloud, pausing between each clue to allow think time. All the riddles have more than one potential answer...until the third and last clue is read. Students make a final inference and cover the answer if it is on their bingo cards!
Text Structures Game
Need a fun way to practice and review nonfiction text structures in 3rd-5th? This bingo game uses sentences about spiders, horses, ships, eggs, and football to ask students to identify the text structures of cause and effect, compare and contrast, description, problem and solution, and sequence!
Halloween Cause and Effect Activities
Practice cause and effect with a fall and Halloween-themed bingo game! During the game, a cause is read aloud, and students cover the matching effect if it is on their card. A follow-up assessment is also included. Great October fun!
Halloween Figurative Language Bingo
