Viking Bag from Birka
Viking bag with wooden handle. This bag is based on archaeological finds from Birka, from the viking era. It is made from 100% thick wool. Hand stitched. Measurements:30 x 26 x 10 cm (11.9x10,2x4 inches)
Viking reenactment: a linen undergarment, a brown woolen dress with long sleeves, and an apron dress with silk decorations and metal posaments. Also a blue coat, a checkered shawl and a pair of needle bound mittens (dyed with yellow leek). On my head I'm wearing a silk veil, fastened to a linen cap with two needles. Everything is hand sewn with waxed linen thread. The jewelry is mainly Birka (as the rest of the outfit), but the large box brooch in front is based on a find from Gotland.
Viking apron dress
Woolen apron dress, handstitched, decorated with tabletwoven trim and silk embroidery. Tabletwoven trim is made of woolen yarn. The motive of the embroidery comes from a Viking age rune stone in St. Paul’s Churchyard, London. The apron dress is quite small, chest 92 cm max but it's possible to buy only the front part of it and attach it to simple apron dress. The front part is attaches with turtle broches. Jewellery and light-brown dress are not included.
